RCSA Loses First SKADL Fixture to the Holland Club

On the evening of Monday 12th November 2001 the RCSA's first fixture in the South Kensington Academic Darts League took place against the Holland Club.

The match ended up being an almost complete whitewash, with the Holland Club turning out as the victors by 10 points to 1, although this was a score that even they admitted was flattering! The RCSA's only point came from Eric Wratten and Nick Shearman, who won their doubles pairing, although other members of the team did have their chances to make the scoreline more respectable.

There is some measure of consolation for the Club after this defeat. The Holland Club are the defending champions in the League, were runaway winners last year, and are tipped to win the League with ease again this time round. Members of their team predicted that the RCSA will finish in one of the higher positions in the League - an encouraging acknowledgement.
