RCSA Darts Club - Poppadom League 2004

Last Update: 18th December 2003

The Poppadom League is a league where everyone who scores a total of 43 in a set of three darts in either the League Championship or Knockout/Plate Tournament gets one point every time they do it. Although one might think that winning this league might carry some kind of prestigious status in the club, seeing as how it is on this web site and all, it doesn't. The object of this league is not to win it, it is not to win it, as the person on top at the end of the season will have to do some kind of forfeit.....

For those wondering, the origin of this league is the Rowan Atkinson sketch "Indian Waiter" (also known under the name "Guys After The Game") which includes the lines "How many poppadoms? Forty-three!". If you haven't heard the sketch then get a copy - the way he takes the mickey out of people getting lagered up and going for a curry is absolutely brilliant.
